Knowledge Quest Quiz (2nd Edition)
S Chand Publishing, a leading educational publisher in India, is thrilled to announce the return of its flagship general knowledge competition, Knowledge Quest Quiz (2nd edition). This year's edition promises to be even more exciting, with a hybrid format that combines online and offline rounds. Aligned with the NCF 2023, the quiz aims to foster holistic development among students nationwide.
The competition will follow a three-tiered structure:
- Explorer's Stage (Online): The initial round will be conducted online, allowing students from all corners of India to participate.
- Navigator's Challenge (Online): On the same day as the Explorer's Stage, the top 8 teams from each phase of the Explorer's Stage will compete in an online Navigator's Challenge.
- Champion's Quest (Offline): The competition's culmination will take place at a grand event in Delhi on 11th December 2024. The top 2 teams from each phase of Navigator’s Challenge will battle it out for the ultimate title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National champions.
Important Note:
- Participants for Explorer's Stage (Phases of Round 1) will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
- 320 schools from India will qualify for the competition. These schools will be divided into 4 groups of 80 schools each.
- These schools will compete to qualify for the online Navigator's Challenge (Round 2), also held on Zoom. From this round, the best 32 teams will move forward.
- The top 8 teams from Navigator’s Challenge will battle it out for the ultimate title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National champions.
- Each school may nominate ONLY one team of two students for the competition. If multiple teams are submitted by a school, only the first entry will be considered.
Quiz Structure
Online (Platform - Zoom)
- Involves 320 schools from PAN India.
- Only registered schools are eligible to take the Explorer's Stage round of the quiz, which our experienced quizmasters will conduct in real time on Zoom.
- The team will log in and enter participant details.
- Each quiz slot is set at 30 minutes, comprising 20 questions.
- The team will sit together in front of the same screen and switch on their camera.
- The session will be video recorded and saved at the back end.
Important Note:
- Participants for Explorer's Stage (Phases of Round 1) will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
- For Explorer's Stage, 320 schools from India will qualify for the competition. These schools will be divided into 4 groups of 80 schools each. From this round, the best 32 teams will move forward for the Navigator's Challenge.
Online (Platform - Zoom)
- The top 8 teams from Navigator’s Challenge will battle it out for the ultimate title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National champions.
- Each school may nominate ONLY one team of two students for the competition. If multiple teams are submitted by a school, only the first entry will be considered.
- The eighty qualifying teams will log in from their respective location, device and Zoom, confirm participant details, and take the quiz.
- Quiz time: 1 hour.
- Similar to Explorer's Stage round, each team will sit in front of the same screen and switch on their camera. The session will be video recorded and saved at the back end.
On-stage (Offline)
- The top 2 teams from each Navigator’s Challenge round will battle it out for the ultimate title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National champions.
- The grand finale will be held in New Delhi on December 11, 2024, and conducted live on stage by Quizmasters.
- The top 3 teams will be distinguished as Winners, 1st Runners-Up, and 2nd Runners-Up.

What are the terms and conditions for the Knowledge Quest Quiz?

Who can participate in Round 1?

How do we submit the quiz?
During the Zoom quiz, participants will answer questions by typing them in the chat box and addressing their messages to the moderators (whose names will be announced during the quiz). Please avoid selecting "Everyone" when sending your answers. For Explorer's Stage (for all the phases of Round 1), answers should be entered in the Zoom chat box and addressed exclusively to the moderators, not to everyone. Once all questions have been answered, the Explorer's Stage (for all the phases of Round 1) will conclude.

What will be the content of the questioning during the quiz?
Questions will be asked from diverse themes: Nature, Language and Literature, Sports and Activities, Science and Technology, History, World, and India. -
How do I know that my school has qualified for Round 2?
The results for Explorer's Stage (for all the phases of Round 1) of the quiz will be announced by S Chand's team between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the day of the quiz after it has been completed. The winning teams will then progress to Navigator's Challenge (for all the phases of Round 2), which will commence at 2:00 PM on the same day. -
Will we get Certificates of Participation?
Yes, participants of Navigator's Challenge (Round 2) will get the Certificate of Participation. -
When do we get Certificates of Participation?
Once Navigator's Challenge (Round 2) of the quiz is over, within two weeks. -
When and where will the grand finale take place?
The grand finale will take place in New Delhi on 11th December 2024. (Venue details will be communicated to schools after Navigator's Challenge. -
Do teams need to travel for the grand finale?
Yes, teams will be required to travel for the Champion's Quest (grand finale) along with a coordinator from their school.
