Knowledge Quest Quiz (Edition 3)
S Chand Publishing, one of India’s leading educational publishers, is back with a brand-new season of the Knowledge Quest Quiz - an exciting general knowledge competition designed to spark curiosity and inspire young minds. This edition is bigger and better, featuring a hybrid format that combines online and offline rounds. Aligned with the principles of the NCF 2023, the quiz encourages holistic development and real-world learning among students across the nation.
A nationwide buzz, driven by vibrant social media campaigns, on-the-ground school outreach, and widespread press coverage, is helping the initiative reach new heights of participation and impact.
The competition will follow a three-tiered structure:
- Qualifiers (Online): The first round will be held online, giving students from every corner of India the chance to compete.
- Semi-Finals (Online): On the same day, the top 10 teams from each Qualifier group will face off in the Semi-Finals, battling for a spot in the grand finale.
- Championship Clash (Offline Grand Finale): On 17th December 2025 in Gurugram, the top 2 teams from each Semi-final group will compete in the grand finale for the honour of being crowned Knowledge Quest Quiz National Champions.
Important Note:
- Participants for the Qualifiers (Round 1) will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A total of 320 schools from across India will be selected to participate, with 4 groups of 80 schools each.
- In the Qualifier Round, schools will compete within their groups for a place in the online Semi-Final (Round 2), which will be conducted via Zoom. Two teams from each group will advance, making a total of 32 teams in the Semi-Final Round.
- The top 10 teams from the Semi-Finals will then compete for the prestigious title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National Champions.
- Each school may nominate only one team of two students for the competition. If multiple entries are received from the same school, only the first entry will be considered.
All students reaching the Semi-Finals will be awarded a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their achievement.
Winners of the Championship Clash will earn exciting prizes and the prestigious honour of being crowned the Knowledge Quest Quiz National Champions.
Quiz Structure
Round 1
- The competition will involve 320 schools from across India.
- Only schools that have registered will be eligible for the Qualifiers, hosted live on Zoom by our expert quizmasters.
- Teams will log in, enter their participant details, and take part in a 30-minute quiz consisting of 20 questions.
- Both team members will sit together in front of the same screen with their camera switched on.
- This round will be video recorded and securely stored.
Important Note:
- Participants for the Qualifiers (Phases of Round 1) will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A total of 320 schools from across India will be selected for the competition.
- These schools will be divided into 4 groups of 80 schools each.
- From this round, the top 32 teams will advance to the Semi-Finals.
Round 2
- The top 32 teams from the Qualifiers will compete in the Semi-Finals for their ticket to the Grand Finale.
- All qualifying teams will log in from their respective locations and devices via Zoom, confirm their participant details, and take the quiz.
- Quiz duration: 1 hour.
- As in the Qualifiers, each team will sit together in front of the same screen with their camera switched on.
- This round will be video recorded and securely stored.
Championship Clash
- The top 2 teams from each Semi-final will qualify for the Championship Clash to compete for the title of Knowledge Quest Quiz National Champions.
- The Championship Clash will be held in Gurugram on December 17, 2025, conducted live on stage by experienced quizmasters.
- The top 3 teams will be honoured as Winners, 1st Runners-Up, and 2nd Runners-Up.

What are the terms and conditions for the Knowledge Quest Quiz?
● Schools are required to register their teams for the quiz.
● Each team consists of only two members.
● Teams can comprise students from the same class or different classes within the school.
● The quiz is eligible for students of grades 6 to 8 only.
● Schools and teams participating must be bonafide.
● Participants must have access to a computer or laptop for the quiz.
● Participants must keep their cameras on throughout the quiz.
● Internet connectivity is a must for attending the quiz.
● Zoom is mandatory to participate in the quiz.
● The initial two rounds ( Qualifiers and Semi-Finals ) of the quiz will take place on Zoom within the respective schools. It is mandatory for each team to attend the quiz from an empty classroom within their school, with a designated coordinator present to oversee the process. -
How to register for the S Chand’s Knowledge Quest Quiz ?
● Registration for the quiz is easy and is only through schools.
● Schools will appoint a mentor who will be responsible for coordinating the quiz.
● The mentor will provide their contact details, including email and phone number.
● Once registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
● Schools will nominate participating team members

The Knowledge Quest Quiz is a three-level national competition:

What are some tips for preparing for a quiz?

How to submit answers to the quiz as a team?
The team answers all questions as one. Since only one answer option can be provided, the team must discuss beforehand, against time pressure, and come up with one answers. -
On what day will Rounds 1 and 2 take place?
The Qualifiers and the Semi-Finals will take place on the same day, with the winner of Qualifiers (Round 1) advancing to Semi-Finals (Round 2).The dates for Rounds 1 and 2 are as follows:

Who can participate in Round 1?

Can teams skip questions during the quiz?

How do we submit the quiz?
During the Zoom quiz, participants must submit their answers by typing them in the chat box and sending them only to the designated moderators (names will be announced at the start of the quiz).
Please do not select “Everyone” when sending answers.For the Qualifiers (all groups of Round 1), answers should be addressed exclusively to the moderators in the Zoom chat—not to all participants. The round will conclude once all questions have been answered.

What will be the content of the questioning during the quiz?
Questions will be asked from diverse themes: Nature, Language and Literature, Sports and Activities, Science and Technology, History, World, and India. -
How do I know that my school has qualified for Round 2?
The results for the Qualifiers (all groups of Round 1) will be announced by the S Chand team between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM on the day of the quiz, after the round has concluded. The winning teams will advance to the Semi-Finals (all groups of Round 2), which will begin at 2:00 PM on the same day. -
Will we get Certificates of Participation?
Yes, participants of Semi-Finals (Round 2) will get the Certificate of Participation. -
When do we get Certificates of Participation?
Once Semi-Finals (Round 2) of the quiz is over, within two weeks. -
When and where will the grand finale take place?
The grand finale will take place in Gurugram on 17th December 2025. (Venue details will be communicated to schools after Semi-Finals. -
Do teams need to travel for the grand finale?
Yes, teams will be required to travel for the Championship Clash (grand finale) along with a coordinator from their school.
